Association Job Boards
If there are any biopharma, biotech or medical device industry-specific association or society job boards that you think should be included, please let us know.
Our Assessment
Many association job boards have the exact same look and feel. That is because they are powered by the same third-party job board software. This may be one of many factors that contribute to an overall disappointing showing by association job boards.
Another factor may be that many association job boards have passive sales efforts if they make any effort at all. That means the association has to be top-of-mind for prospective employers which, it would appear, they are not. Many associations appear to opt for "an easy way out," backfilling jobs from job board aggregators and other sites.
Last, many of the sites we reviewed have disproportionately high numbers of postings for healthcare institutions like hospitals, higher education faculty and academia. This can be frustrating for anyone looking for a job within the industry.
Bearing in mind the value of professional associations as a source of insider information, networking, and personal connections, the real value of associations for a job-seeker may not be their token job boards at all.
Our Ratings
No stars mean we find the site has little to no use. Five stars mean we think the site is awesome! Decide for yourself...

The AAAS claims to be the world's largest multidisciplinary scientific society and a leading publisher of cutting-edge research through its Science family of journals.
